Sometimes, Science can look chaotic while we are learning and engaging our skills! 6th grade is beginning their Rocks and Minerals unit, and what better way to practice our lab safety, measuring and math skills than creating Rock Candy! There are many times when 5th grade curriculum will mirror our 6th grade, so we invited the 5th graders to watch and assist with the measuring of their own Rock Candy as well. Throughout the next week, both classes will monitor the crystallization and structure of their candy and hopefully produce some delicious treats!
