During the 2023-24 school year a K-4 playground committee was formed to share ideas and develop options for improving the Dimmick School playground. The student met several times, shared their ideas, and then had the K-4 students vote on what they liked best. The two pieces of equipment were installed on Friday, October 11 with help from Joel Foster, Ray Seghi, Bruno Brzozowski, and Josh Turigliatti. Brent and Michele Hanson donated the use of their tractor and Wayne Temple donated the use of his skid steer to assist in the project. The Dimmick PTO helped make the project a reality by sharing the cost of the equipment with the District. A big thanks goes out to all who helped make the project a reality. On Tuesday, October 15 the Playground Committee, joined by their classmates, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the renovated playground. The following students served on the committee; Olivia Pyszka, Evalyn Williams, Bryn Hanson, Patrick Shea, James Foster, Eliza Savage, Maryn Donovan, Gus Brzozowski, Jack Foster, Kyle McLaughlin, and Camden Lamps.
