Dimmick School District #175

Dimmick School District #175 will have registration for the 2010-2011 school year on Thursday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., for grades K-8.  Returning students received registration packets at the end of last year.  Parents are encouraged to complete these packets and return them to the school.  If you are enrolling in the district for the first time, a copy of the student’s social security card and birth certificate are required as well as two proofs of residency.  Please contact the school for documents that will be accepted.

The following fees for the 2010-2011 school year must be paid at the time of registration:  Book fees for kindergarten through eighth grade is $50.00.  P.E. uniforms for students in grades 5-8 is $15.00.  Year Book fee is $12.00 (optional).  Kindergartner students will have milk available for their afternoon snack at a cost of $50.00 for the year.  Hot lunch will be available at $3.00 per day.  Milk will be available for 25 cents per carton. 

Students in kindergarten and sixth grade are required to provide current health examinations before August 23rd.  Students entering kindergarten, second, and sixth grade are required to have a dental examination. Kindergarten students are required to have a vision exam.  Physical exams and health insurance are also required before students can participate in sports.

The first day of student attendance will be Monday, August 23rd, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.  Lunches and bus service will be provided.  For more information, call the school office at 815-223-2933.  A parent information night has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th.  Details will be posted on-line at www.dimmick175.com at a later date.

Students in grades 6-8 will have the opportunity to take Spanish as an elective course.  If you choose to enroll your child in Spanish, please notify the office when you register.  There is a form that will need to be signed.

We will also notify parents once we receive confirmation on enrollment for the Pre-K program in LaSalle.
